Chiropractic uses manipulation/adjustment of body structures, such as the spinal column, so that pressure on nerves coming from the spinal column (due to displacement/subluxation of a vertebral body) may be relieved. Misalignment and nerve pressure can cause problems not only in the local area, but also at distant points of muscles, organs and cells of the body.

A supportive therapy to help the body heal more efficiently. Laser therapy works by delivering specific wavelengths of light into the tissues to:
• Calm inflammation
• Support tissue repair
• Improve circulation
• Reduce discomfort
• Help the body hold adjustments better
Laser therapy does not force change in the body. It supports your nervous system and tissues so your body can do what it’s designed to do: heal.

What Does a Laser Session Feel Like?
• Warm, soothing sensation (most patients find it relaxing)
• No needles, no pain, no downtime
• Sessions typically last 2–15 minutes, depending on the age, condition and area
• Safe for infants, children, prenatal/postpartum, and adult patients when clinically appropriate

How Laser Is Used in Our Office
Laser therapy may be recommended:
• Alongside an adjustment to support healing
• During acute injuries or flare-ups
• Stubborn chronic conditions
• For prenatal or postpartum tissue support (post c-section scarring, breast/nipple pain, etc.)
• For pediatric tension, injuries, growth-related discomfort, or sports strains
• When an adjustment is not needed at that visit
Laser is always optional and recommended only when it supports your care goals.

Dr. Alison graduated in 2013 with a Doctor of Chiropractic and has a Bachelors in Human Biology. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is Certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics and has obtained her C.A.C.C.P. , being recognized as a Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractor. She is also Webster Certified making her a great choice for expecting mothers.

Dr. Alison grew up in Leavenworth, KS and decided to pursue Chiropractic because she was diagnosed with moderate to severe scoliosis (curvature of the spine) at age 12. Not knowing about Chiropractic, she was placed on a “watch and wait” plan from her primary care physician to see if the scoliosis would progress. Before she knew it, her scoliosis turned for the worse and she was forced to wear an uncomfortable (and expensive) back brace. As active as she was with sports, this was not practical. Her scoliosis was not only causing physical pain but emotional suffering as well. Clothes never fitted right, there were obvious deformities with one shoulder higher than the other and one side of her back sticking further out … the list goes on. Out of desperation she decided to try Chiropractic.

Chiropractic not only helped with the pain, but it improved her overall function and structure of the spine by improving muscle tone and posture. Dr. Alison decided since Chiropractic helped her she can help others as well.

In October 2016, Dr. Alison was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (breast cancer) and had to undergo extensive surgery and therapy. Through her battle and journey, she teamed with Jill’s Hope Foundation (local cancer support group) to better assist her patients that have gone/going through cancer. The foundation helps financially with various integrative therapies that include (but are not limited to) reiki, reflexology, acupuncture, massage, meditation, oils and now chiropractic. Call Dr. Alison if you or a loved one are going through cancer. She is here to support, encourage, educate, empower and most importantly, offer financial assistance and quality Chiropractic care.
